Biomass Feedstock Supply Chain - Croatia
Brown & Co were instructed by a major Oil and Gas company to provide a detailed feasibility assessment and subsequent full business plan for a 300,000 tonne Biomass Feedstock supply chain. The client was examining an investment into a second generation (2G) Bio-Ethanol plant and Brown & Co were tasked with advising on the biomass supply chain that would be required to provide raw material (crop residues) for the facility. Work undertaken included: examing total production of crop residues in-country, assessing the farm economics driving motivation for farmers to sell crop residues, devising a strategy around supply chain logic, assessing on farm mateials collection and structuring, reviewing Logistics models, assessing storagage requirements and options for storage models, providing a full businsess plan to include management structures, CAPEX, OPEX, cashflow requirements, full risk assessment, different contract models, accessing EU funding and sustainability and ESG criteria to be adopted.
